Applications open for grants to mark
Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee

To help Hebden Royd residents celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's 70th year of reign, Hebden Royd Town Council (HRTC) have created a grant scheme for the community to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee over the four-day extended Bank Holiday weekend, between 2 – 5 June 2022.

The 6 February 2022 marks the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the British throne and this will be the first ever Platinum Jubilee in the history of British monarchs.

Hebden Royd Mayor, Cllr Rob Freeth said "No occasion such as this should pass without significant celebration and HRTC wants nobody in Hebden Royd to miss the chance of holding a community event. It will provide an opportunity for us all to come together to celebrate this historic milestone."

The scheme will offer up to £500 to community groups and constituted groups of residents to organise community-based events like fun days and carnivals. In addition, individuals will be able to apply for up to £100.00 for more localised events such as Jubilee street parties.
